Mona McSharry's bronze medal win in the breaststroke saw a peak TV audience of 621 thousand viewers.

Almost three-and-a-half million people tuned into the Olympics coverage on RTÉ.

The top streams on the RTÉ Player were for Rhaisdat Adeleke's 400 metres final, Kellie Harrington's gold medal win, and Daniel Wiffen's bronze in the 1,500 metres swim.

The broadcaster recorded an average audience of 443 thousand for the opening ceremony, and over 340 thousand for the closing ceremony on Sunday.
