More calls for S3 bus route in Sligo

There are calls for an urgent meeting between all stakeholders as it relates to improving the local link service in Sligo.

It had been hoped that S3 bus route would be established by now, catering to areas such as Finisklin estate, First Sea Road and accommodate a number of estates in the area.

However, so far no funding has been sanctioned to provide the service.

Local Cllr Tom MacSharry says the issue has been rumbling on for some time now, and at a time of a cost of living crisis with more and more people looking to opt for public transport, it must be resolved as a matter of urgency:
