More than 18,000 waiting for appointments at Sligo hospital

There were more than 18,000 patients waiting for appointments at Sligo University Hospital as of the 4th of November this year.

More than 7,000 of these are waiting for more than a year.

The figures were released at a meeting of the Regional Health Forum West this week in response to a question from Sligo Independent Councillor. Declan Bree.

He says the figures are unacceptable.
