More than two thousand people are expected to attend a major Christian conference which is taking place at IT Sligo this week
The conference, entitled 'Sligo17', is arranged by New Wine Ireland, a movement of Christian churches from across the island of Ireland.
It provides worshipers with an annual opportunity to network, meet and worship with each other. This is the twelfth year the event has taken place in Sligo and the sixth year the event has been staged at IT Sligo.
There are already over one thousand people registered to attend the event, with that number set to double in day-ticket sales.
Speaking to Ocean FM News, John Stewart, general manager of New Wine Ireland, says Sligo's geographical position means the town is an ideal area in which to host the event.
