More than 3,500 waiting for driving tests in NW

More than 3,500 people are waiting to take their driving tests across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

572 are waiting to sit their test in Leitirim, 844 in Sligo and 2,122 in Donegal.

Of these, only 515 people across the region are are scheduled to take a test.

Sligo Independent Councillor, Marie Casserly says more testers are needed to deal with the backlog.
