More than 360 projects across Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim are to benefit from more than one million euro under the Community Enhancement Programme.
146 groups in Donegal will get a total of €650,000 while €370,000 will go to 217 projects across Sligo and Leitrim.
The CEP supports a range of community investment such as childcare groups, playgrounds, recreational groups, sports grounds, landscaping and support of the elderly.
Sligo/Leitrim Fine Gael Deputy and Assistant Government Chief Whip Tony McLoughlin says the allocations are a recognition of the great work being done by many local groups:
