A Leitrim councillor says the county has a lot of catching-up to do when it comes to tourism promotion.
Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott was commenting after it emerged that Leitrim is the second-least visited county in the country after Longford.
He is to raise the issue at Monday's meeting of Leitrim County Council.
Meanwhile, Sinn Fein Councillor Padraig Fallon is seeking a break-down of funding received for tourism, recreation and other amenities in Leitrim while Independent Councillor Felim Gurn is calling for the council to ensure it gets funding for a proposed greenway through the county.
