A motorist has been arrested for a number of road traffic offences in the Sligo area.
Gardai stopped a car yesterday and the novice driver was found to have no N plates displayed.

The vehicle was subsequently searched and a quantity of suspected Cocaine was seized.
The driver also failed a roadside test for Cocaine and Cannabis.

As a result, the motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant and brought to Sligo Garda Station for further tests.
Gardai in Sligo are reminding people never to drive under the influence of either alcohol or drugs.
