A motorist has been caught speeding in Sligo.
Gardai have confirmed that while conducting a speed checkpoint, a car was detected travelling in at 100km/h in a 50km/h speed zone in Ballincar by the Roads Policing Unit.
A Fixed Charge Notice was issued to the driver.
Gardai are reminding all road users to slow down and help save lives.
