A motorist has been clocked speeding at 171km per hour in 100km zone in Sligo this week.
Sligo Gardaí confirmed that the car was also caught speeding during extremely wet road conditions.

The driver was stopped and now face's a court appearance.
Gardai are reminding all road users to slow down and that speed kills.
