Motorists are being advised to approach Rathcormac with caution after reports of an accident on the Sligo side of the area this afternoon.
There are currently long delays going both directions, which is also due to roadworks being carried out in the area.
Emergency services are currently at the scene, and traffic is currently down to one lane.
Gardaí released the following statement:

"Gardaí are aware of a two-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at Rathcormac, Rosses Point, Co. Sligo this afternoon, Monday 25th March 2024.
There are no reports of injuries at this time. The road remains open."
