Motorists warned of dangerous driving conditions

Overnight frost has led to dangerous driving conditions on many roads in the counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal this morning

Gritting Lorries have treated primary roads in the region however Gardaí are urging motorists to travel with extreme caution on secondary roads due to the danger of black ice.

Widespread frost and ice will continue to linger this morning.

The frost and ice will clear very slowly and will linger in some areas.

It will be dry with sunny spells.
