The murder trial of Private Seán Rooney in the Lebanon has been postponed for six months.
Mohammed Ayyad, who was charged with the murder, failed to show up in court this afternoon, citing medical reasons.
A medical report for the accused was submitted by his legal team, which was accepted by the military court.
Proceedings are expected to get back underway in June 2024.
