The N15 Sligo/Donegal road outside Sligo town has reopened followed a fatal traffic accident last night..
It occurred when a 53-year old pedestrian was struck by a car on the N15 near Lisnalurg just after 11pm.
The victim was removed to Sligo University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gardai are seeking witnesses as they continue their investigations.
