The N17 at Ballinacarrow has reopened following a crash earlier this morning.
A lorry carrying livestock overturned there at around 5.30am.

Gardaí have confirmed that the driver of the lorry was not injured, but some of the cattle that were in transit have been killed.
The road had been closed while the removal of the lorry and some of the dead animals took place.

It has since reopened with investigations ongoing.
