Motorists are being advised to proceed with caution on the roads in the region this morning after heavy overnight rain.
A number of roads are reported to be dangerous as a result. The N4 Sligo to Castlebaldwin new stretch of road is currently closed but is expected to reopen this morning after being closed for a period of time last night.

The road was shut close to the close to the exit for Ballymote following a collision between a lorry and cattle.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
