The outbound lane from Sligo to Collooney on the N4 is currently closed following a two car road traffic collision.
The route is closed between Ballydrehid and Collooney with traffic being diverted through Ballisodare.
Reports from a number of motorists are advising that traffic is continuing to build going back a number of kilometres.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of incident which occurred within the last hour.
