Need for seven-day respite service in NW raised in the Dail

The need for seven-day respite services for parents, carers and those with disabilities has been raised with the Taoiseach in the Dail.

In Sligo/Leitrim, a five-day respite service is being provided from a house in Tullaghan in north Leitrim.

Meanwhile, a Monday evening to Saturday morning service run by RehabCare is expected to start on January 13th at the Seaview House Centre in Mountcharles, Co Donegal.

Sligo/Leitrim Fianna Fail Deputy Eamon Scanlon says it's wrong that full-time, seven-day respite services are not available in the north west.
