Leitrim County Council is to contact OPW in regard to work which needs to be carried out on the boundary wall at Creevelea Abbey in Dromahair.
The matter was raised by Sinn Fein Councillor, Padraig Fallon at this week’s meeting of the Manorhamilton Municipal District of Leitrim County Council.
The wall, which is situated just metres from the main abbey structure, has fallen into disrepair in recent times and Councillor Fallon also says that there are local suggestions that building stone from the boundary wall was removed without authorisation.
