A new 20 bed unit has opened at St. John's Community Hospital in Sligo.
The newly constructed single rooms are part of ongoing works which also include the upgrading of two wings that are expected to be complete by February 2022.
Melissa Kelly is Director of Nursing at St. John's Hospital.
She says the existing wings at the hospital are being completely refurbished.
