New Bishop appointed to Diocese of Achonry

Fr Paul Dempsey has been appointed as the new Bishop of Achonry.

Fr Dempsey who comes from Carlow, has spent 22 years serving as a priest in Kildare in the Diocese of Kildare & Leighlin.

He was ordained to the priesthood in July 1997.
