New car parking meters are on the way for Sligo town.
The new machines will mean people won't even have to even return to their car - if their time has expired they can top-up online or by phone or text.
The traffic wardens on duty will be updated as the top-up payments are made.
The metres will be installed next month and will take coins, credit cards and debit cards.
Mayor of Sligo Councillor Rosaleen O Grady says the new system should be up and running in September:
