A Sligo councillor says the county's main central library in Sligo Town is 'not fit for purpose.'
Sinn Fein Councillor Chris MacManus says there's a need for a new purpose-built, central library in Sligo.
County Council officials told Cllr MacManus at a council meeting this week that that they now intend to put forward a new application for funding.
But without agreement on a site, it seems little progress can be made.
Councillor MacManus, a regular user of the library, says he's amazed at what staff there can do in such a small space:
