An additional classroom and ancillary works have been approved for St Teresa's National School, Ballintogher, Co Sligo.
The Department of Education has sanctioned a new 80 meter squared mainstream classroom, a wash room facility and a storage room.
The school has over 80 pupils enrolled this year.
Community Activist and Fine Gael Area Representative Thomas Walsh says the announcement is a testament to its Board of Management, Parents Association and staff.
