Coillte is planning 80 kilometres of mountain bike trails in County Sligo in a venture that that could become one of the country's biggest attractions.
The State forestry agency is to apply for planning permission to the county council for the trail through 10 townlands around Coolaney area, beside the Ox Mountains.
They are Seevness, Altnavelick, Carrowgaveen, Gortakeeeran, Lismacbryan, Lugbaun, Lugnadeffa, Mullanashee, Rathosey and Tullaghan.
The proposed developed would also include a building for changing and washing facilities, a cafe, bicycle hire, parking areas, and a bike wash.
