House prices across the North West are around 10% higher now than they were this time last year.
The latest report from Daft.ie shows that nationally, prices during 2023 rose by an average of 3.4%, the smallest increase since 2019,
In Leitrim, prices in the final three months of 2023 were 10% higher than a year previously, compared to a rise of 9% seen a year ago.
The average price of a home is now €191,000, 24% below its Celtic Tiger peak.
In Sligo, prices in the final three months of 2023 were 11% higher than a year previously, compared to a rise of 10% seen a year ago. The average price of a home is now €211,000, 23% below its Celtic Tiger peak.
While in Donegal, prices were 11% higher, compared to a rise of 9% seen a year ago. The average price of a home in Donegal is now €219,000.
Nationally, housing prices during 2023 rose by an average of 3.4%, the smallest increase since 2019.
There remains significant differences in price trends across the country. Prices in Dublin rose by an average of 2% during 2023 while prices were 8.3% higher in Connacht-Ulster in the final quarter of 2023 than a year previously.
