Work is expected to start in the second half of next year on the building of a new fish processing plant in Killybegs that is expected to create about 100 jobs.
The plant will produce protein powders and marine minerals for worldwide export, with a focus on Asia.
Preparation of the site for the new plant on the Industrial Road outside Killybegs has begun.
Donegal Independent Councillor Niamh Kennedy said it's probably one of the biggest projects in the last 20 or 30 years in the area.
