There has been a broad welcome for a new Lidl store that opened in Sligo this morning.
It's located at Finisklin Road and is the German supermarket's second outlet in Sligo, the other store being on Cranmore Road on the opposite side of the town.

Work on the development was carried out by McCallion Construction, Buncrana, Co Donegal, and McCabe Architects, Donegal Town.
The renovation took account of local wildlife by providing 30 nesting spaces and four bat access points in the roof of the refurbished mill building.
