Sligo-based businessman Fintan Kennedy has been named the new President of Sligo Chamber of Commerce, with Ann Butler of Higgins Pharmacy Sligo becoming Deputy President.
Mr Kennedy is a native of Aclare, he served as Branch Manager of FBD Insurance in Sligo for 20 years, and four years as Chair of Sligo Leader Partnership.

He has also held coaching roles with Tourlestrane GAA and Sligo GAA, and is currently a lecturer in Business at ATU Sligo and ATU St. Angela’s.
Mr Kennedy said to take over the role of President was an “honour”.
