New proposals for Wine Street to be virtually discussed tonight

Members of the public will get an opportunity to see proposals to enhance the Wine Street Car Park area of Sligo Town this (Thursday) evening.

Plans include enhanced retail space, a multi-storey car park and a new public space.

Planners from the county council, together with designers of the proposed scheme, will host an online webinar on the scheme this evening at 7pm.

Frank Moylan, senior planner with Sligo County Council, says what happens in the Wine Street Car Park block must complement and blend in with other areas of the town.
