Donegal is the only county in Ireland where there was a drop in the asking price of houses last year.
House prices rose by more than close to ten percent or 20-thousand euro on average across the country during 2017.
Sligo was in line with the national trend with house prices up by 8%.
In Leitrim there was a 2% hike but in its main town of Carrick-on-Shannon the increase was much higher at 6%.
The average price for a three bed semi in Leitrim remains the lowest in the country at €120,000 and in Sligo the asking price is now €130,000.
But Donegal has bucked the national trend with a 2% fall in the asking price which now stands at €137,000 there.
