Rory Gallagher has had a new statue unveiled in Belfast.
The Ballyshannon music legend has long been seen as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, and his iconic guitar was recently bought for 1 million euro and was returned to Ireland.
The statue is based outside the Ulster Hall in Belfast, a location at which he had previously performed.
Hundreds of people gathered for the unveiling yesterday and celebrated the acknowledgement of Gallagher’s lifework.
