New Sligo Cathaoirleach outlines policies for year ahead

The newly elected Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council says tackling the housing crisis locally will be top of his agenda during his tenure.

Independent Cllr Michael Clarke replaces Fianna Fail Cllr Paul Taylor in the position for the upcoming year.

Cllr Clarke defeated Sinn Feins Thomas Healy to secure the position.

Independent Cllr Marie Casserly takes up the role of Leas Cathaoirleach.
