The New Chief Super-intendent in Sligo Leitrim says he's looking forward to the challenge of heading policing in the division.
Sligo-native Aidan Glackin was appoint to the top job in Sligo Leitrim by the Garda Commissioner.
His father also served as a sergeant in Sligo in the 1970s.
