A new online initiative has been launched to promote Sligo.
It's called 'My Sligo' and is being promoted by the South and West Sligo Tourism.
People wishing to take part are asked to upload their photos of videos online, saying what 'My Sligo' means to them and using the hashtag #MySligo.
It can be uploaded on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram as long as the hashtag #MySligo is used.
This will enable people all over the world to find and view the photos and videos, and, in the process, promote and encourage more people to visit Sligo.
Councillor Paul Taylor, chairman of South and West Sligo Tourism, says it's making the best use of modern online technology to get their message across:
