A new volunteer centre is being launched in Co. Leitrim this month.
Minister of State for Community Development and Charities, Joe O'Brien is launching the centre on the 18th of May during National Volunteering Week.
The main centre is based in Carrick on Shannon with aims to also have a centre in north Leitrim in the near future.
Leitrim Volunteer Centre Chairperson, Brian Smyth says those interested in volunteering can visit volunteerleitrim.ie.

Speaking to OceanFM News, he says there are numerous ways people can help communities.
