Night Time Economy Advisor to be appointed for Sligo

A Sligo Councillor believes that a Night-Time Economy Advisor for the town will have huge benefits.

A part of a new pilot scheme, nine towns and cities including Sligo are to be designated an advisor who will help drive and support the night-time economy by implementing plans in conjunction with all stakeholders.

Local Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh says plans are already afoot by Sligo County Council to improve nightlife in Sligo and other towns and villages in the county.

Cllr Walsh is hopeful that this new position will in turn further enhance the night time experience in Sligo:
