The HSE have confirmed that there are currently no plans in place to introduce a second ambulance to cover the South West Donegal area.
Calls have been made recently for an additional ambulance to be introduced to the cover the area which includes locations that are isolated and farm removed from the nearest University Hospital.

Donegal TD and Leas Cheann Comhairle Pat the Cope Gallagher says delays are occurring in the call out of ambulances for this region and as a result the response times are falling short of the recommended times.
