A North West TD has told the Dáil how an application from Sligo University Hospital seeking an additional nurse specialist for a Diabetes insulin pump service has been turned down due to a lack of available funding.
The issue was raised yesterday by Independent Donegal TD Thomas Pringle.

The independent TD accused the government of providing 'generic answer's and not following up on previous Dáil questions that he submitted on the issue.
Deputy Pringle says not having such a service at Sligo University Hospital is not acceptable.
