No arrests have been made yet in connection with the burglary of Sligo Cllr Joe Queenan’s home in Enniscrone.
Cllr Queenan and his family were at the local election count at the Sligo Park Hotel on Saturday afternoon when thieves gained entry to his home.

The house was completely ransacked and a sum of money was taken during the course of the incident.
It was the second time in a matter of months that Cllr Queenan has been burgled.

His “Check Out” shop in Enniscrone was targeted in the early hours of Good Friday on March 29th with a number of items stolen.
An investigation is continuing, with Gardai appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
They say that so far, no arrests have yet been made.
