There were no new cases of Covid-19 reported in the counties of Sligo, Leitrim or Donegal yesterday.
311 new cases were reported nationally however along with 30 additional deaths attributed to Covid-19.
373,149 people have now received their first Covid-19 vaccination while 149,920 have received their second dose.
The latest hospital figures from Covid-19 state that there are 371 receiving treatment with 93 in ICU.
Locally there are 4 people receiving treatment in Sligo University Hospital with 3 in ICU.
In Letterkenny University Hospital there are 11 people being treated with 1 in the ICU unit.
Dr Alan Gaffney is an ICU consultant in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, and vice-president of the Intensive Care Society.
He says critical-care units are still very busy, for two reasons.
