North Leitrim's first deacon to be ordained in Manorhamilton

The first deacon in the north Leitrim part of the Diocese of Kilmore will be ordained on Sunday.

Padraig Kelly a native of Glencar in county Leitrim is well known in both Sligo and Leitrim.

He will be ordained deacon by Bishop of Kilmore Leo O'Reilly in St. Clare's in Manorhamilton on Sunday at half past two.

Fr. Oliver Kelly Parish Priest in Manorhamilton says they are expecting a big crowd due to Padraig's high profile in the community:
