Members of the public are being warned over the possibility of severe winds during Storm Kathleen.
Counties Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are all under a status yellow wind warning.
Met Éireann has said there will be very strong and gusty southerly winds today, with coastal flooding and wave overtopping likely.
The forecaster also say there is potential for some trees to have fallen on the roads, resulting in difficult travelling conditions for motorists.
