A North West/Midlands MEP attending yesterday's eviction protest in County Roscommon says the story has moved beyond last week's headlines.
More than a thousand people joined the demonstration in Strokestown calling for an end to forced evictions - and support for people all around the country who are struggling this Christmas.
Sinn Fein's, Matt Carthy, says it's time safeguards were put in place for people in financial distress.
