North West Motorists advised to reduce speed on National Slowdown Day

Another National Slowdown Day operation will be getting under way from 7 a.m. this morning.

Gardaí are reminding motorists of the dangers of speeding and encouraging a national conversation on its impact.

24 people have died on our roads so far this year.

Gardaí say they'll be out in force over the next 24 hours monitoring speeds and carrying out checkpoints.
