The North West Region seems to have escaped the worst of the severe winter weather that has impacted many parts of the country.
That's despite the local area being under a status yellow warning for low temperatures and ice.
Around 41 thousand ESB customers are still without power this morning.

Homes, farms and businesses in the South and East are worst-affected.
