The director of public health for the HSE north-west, is warning that the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases is a cause of concern.
Dr Anthony Breslin has warned that it's unlikely that Covid cases have peaked yet with the number likely to increase in the coming weeks.
He says over the past two weeks there has been a significant increase in the number of cases detected right across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.
Dr Breslin says the behaviour of the general public has to change to counteract this.

The Cabinet Sub Committee on Covid-19 will meet this evening to consider further actions aimed at addressing rising infection rates.
The wider use of covid certs, antigen tests and a recommendation for people work from home where possible are among the measures set to be discussed.
A full Cabinet meeting will then be held tomorrow to approve any changes.
It comes as a further 3,805 cases were confirmed yesterday, while 596 covid patients were in hospital last night, and 106 are in ICU.
