Northern Ireland Health Service faces major Covid challenge

The WHO should appoint experts to deal with the Covid-19 crisis in Northern Ireland, according to Professor Gabriel Scally.

 

The Stormont Executive are meeting today to consider whether more restrictions are needed, after the lockdown was lifted last Friday.

There were 510 cases confirmed yesterday, and hospitals are so full that some patients have been treated in ambulances outside.

 

With a ban on travelling from County to County being lifted in the Republic of Ireland from tomorrow, more are expected to visit towns like Enniskillen for Christmas shopping.
