A number of areas in county Sligo have been hit with a major water outage.
Sligo County Council has advised that due to a major burst on the trunk main from Cairns Hill Reservoir to Grange East Reservoir at Ballyfree, the water supply will be affected until further notice.
The supply in the following areas has been affected: Carrowmore, Slieveroe, Grange East, Grange West, Lecarrow, Barnasrahy, Drinaghan, Graigue, Knocknahur, Ballybeg, Tonafortes, Carrickhenry, Carrowkeel, Carrowgobbadagh, Knocknashammer, Tobernaveen, Seafield and Rathcarrick.
Sligo County Council in partnership with Irish Water regrets any inconvenience caused.
