Ocean FM has won the Gold Award at the international New York Festival Radio Awards.
The feature, 'Getting Better, not Bitter', has scooped the top award in the Best Human Interest Story category.
It tells the story of American author, Robert Drake, who was seriously assaulted in Sligo in 1999, and left in a wheelchair as a result of his injuries.
The programme was produced and presented by Niall Delaney, who travelled to Philadelphia to interview Mr. Drake.

Ocean FM was the only local radio station in Ireand this year to be shortlisted for an award.
In total, Ireland received four Gold Awards at this year's New York Festival - RTE Radio One, Newstalk, Journal Media, and Ocean FM.
